This is a neat antique pink ostrich feather fan from the 1800's. The base is faux tortoise shell celluloid with a celluloid ring at the bottom. The feathers are long and large, they were once all pink but now the pink has fades into some orange looking and some darker. It looks as if a string once attached each feather together but that string is no longer there. With a few minor repairs this fan would be even prettier than it is now. The feathers are also very turned at the top, I imagine a beautiful young burlesque dancer using this fan night after night which is why it's been so lovingly well used. It is delicate.
